The Land of Kin

Once upon a time there was a girl named kimberlalee, and she was a happy creature who loved to laugh and frolic in fields and eat.

And that was a great story.

So anyway, I'm house sitting right now for my boyfriends family while they are having a fun filled vacation in Florida--now, is florida the sunshine state? or is that california?-- well never the less, it has been pretty good so far, other than the loneliness of it. But I do have all the food I want and a car at my disposal, not that I want to dispose of it or anything, I mean it is pretty handy when their house is 20 minutes out of the city and 45 min away for the college I am currently attending. And I'll have you know that both the house and the car are fairly new, and by that I mean brand spanking new...

Oh,and I'm not just housesitting, I'm dogsitting as well. But because I spend a lot of time there on a regular basis, Buddy had come to know me pretty well, and by that I mean he knows who I am... And Kim and Buddy's Excellent Adventures are pretty excellent; yes, playing in the snow and eating and sleeping half the day away does have it's benifits. I have noticed that since I've been there and around Buddy so much, I now have a natural tendency to talk to him all the time, and when you really think about it, dogs don't understand english! I mean, other than the words "outside?", "go-on!", "treat?", "good" and "boy" (and their name of course), they don't really know what you are saying, so in a sence, I am actaully just talking to myself. But when you are talking to a dog you can say just about anything in an excited voice and they will respond in some way.

And I must say, that having a creature who is always interested in what you are doing, and is constantly following you around, it can be good for your self-esteem. I guess I fianlly know what it means when I hear the saying "dog is man's best friend". And they (as pets) do come with loads of comic relief; everything a dog does can be potentially funny, or just plain humorous in it's own way.

But the only thing I have had trouble with, after all the "best friend" talk and how funny they can be and comforting and blah, blah, blah... I still have to remember that he is a dog! And he can be treated like a dog! Sometimes when I am away all day from the house and from Buddy, I find myself feeling sorry for leaving him in the garage all day,and wonderingif he has to go to the bathroom, or if he's cold, or if he'd rather be outside... Man... Then I have to politely tell myself over and over, THAT HE'S A FRICKIN DOG!! I mean he's lucky to BE someone's pet, and to even be alive! Like, really Kim...

Anyway, it's been a good experience, and Buddy really is a good dog, well trained, doesn't bark a lot... I have come to love him. Hopefully he has too.

RBOIAQ:

Like really, march seems to be the longest month EVER! even though it's the last day...
I hate staying at school all day
I really love ice cream, I keep forgetting about it
Only three days 'till Nick comes home!!
There are these paintings hanging up in our school library, and I might consider buying one...
I wonder what kind of dog I would get if I was to get one...
Muts are always tame and fun to be around
I don't think that I've written a RBOIAQ without mentioning food at least once
Why does chocolate have to be so good?
I really need a nap right now...
I wonder how long it takes me to think of all these random things?
(hint: it's a trick question)

Poor Kim who has no comments on her blog. I'll comment for you : ) I can't believe a teacher asked if Mom drank when she was pregnant with you! That is SO rude! Both to you AND to Mom! Jerk! Anyway... love ya!
